Effective January 2024 our globally acclaimed Absolute Epsilon DAC will be available as the Epsilon meta edition – Absolute ε Meta – integrating additional cutting-edge technologies and innovations that firmly establish the Absolute in the upper echelons of today’s premier digital playback systems.
Consistent with our product philosophy, the Meta edition boasts an entirely proprietary design. Our in-house developed audio technologies set us apart, as Ideon Audio never uses or relies on off-the-shelf solutions or any third-party components.
The 2024 Meta upgrade brings substantial performance enhancements to the already highly acclaimed Absolute ε DAC, including:
- New firmware with improvements in our proprietary code
- A novel DAC output selection feature (high/med/low/variable) designed to seamlessly match a diverse range of amplifier loads
- Upgraded power supplies featuring meticulously engineered transformers
- Enhanced analog stage with improved extreme dynamics and even lower noise
All these new innovations and upgrades elevate the already high performance of the Absolute DAC to an extreme level, offering a unique and memorable listening experience. The areas most affected are the dynamics (both micro and macro), the tone quality, which becomes purer and more faithful to the original, and the soundstage, which becomes even wider and more expansive.

HyperStream, 8-channels architecture
- The highest performing DAC to date, sets a new benchmark for audio excellence with the industry’s highest dynamic range (DNR), up to 140dB, in a 32-bit, 8-channel DAC.
- Unique 15ohm output impedance at -140dB SNR or 1W
- Discreet power through 16 separate power regulators in the circuit. Direct coupled output with no capacitors in the output stage.
- The finest details contained in the recording, come to the surface in a phase-correct manner, allowing the musical event to emerge complete.
