Pylon Audio Ruby 20 : Speaker
Ruby 20 – two-way, free-standing loudspeakers, emphasizing the naturalness and plasticity of the sound. The loudspeaker set provides full insight into the recording, as well as the colour and transparency known from models from the other lines, while maintaining a great presentation of the vocals with adequate support for the lowest registers.
The design is based on a modified PSW 17.8 EXA mid-woofer, in which we used a cone made of Endumax material. This material, thanks to its properties, has a very good balance between the internal damping and stiffness, at the same time maintaining less weight than similar cones made of paper or fiberglass.
We entrusted the top of the band to the silk dome tweeter, that is providing details and resolution, perfectly matching the midrange woofer sound.
Compact and solid enclosures made of thick MDF boards covered with natural veneer, provide adequate rigidity of the structure and prevent any resonance and coloration. The slotted bass-reflex tunnel on the front reduces the effect of distance from the back wall on the bass reproductions and makes it easier to set up in smaller rooms.
Ruby 20 columns are dedicated to rooms of 15-25 m2.
